Stanley Gagner is a New York and Twin Cities-based sound and set designer for theatre. He believes that theatre design is a vessel: for our history, our emotions, and our future. This vessel needs to be crafted with sensitivity and attention. Every detail, from color and texture to cue timing and EQ, flavors the contents. Nothing is too small to be worth our attention, or too insignificant to matter. This precision carries over into his technical work as a model maker, A2, and electrician. Upcoming designs include the sound for By The Way, Meet Vera Stark, and the set for Eurydice at Fordham University. Outside of the theatre, you might find him arranging flowers, visiting museums, or trolling antique stores to find new treasures to add to his many collections.
